Experienced - Product Specialist

TYPE: Full-time (Salaried)

REPORTS TO: Sales Manager

STATUS: Exempt

Job Summary:

SAS Global Corporation is adding to its already expanding sales group and is looking for experience personnel to fill this position. The Product Specialist is responsible for growing the sales of heavy steel and fabrications within the following industries; Coal-Fired Power Plant Operations (boiler and the conveyance of fuel), Mining (Processing, Open Pit, and Underground), Cement, Asphalt, Waste & Recycling, Pulp & Paper, etc. all utilizing SAS’s specialty wearmaterials.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• Associate Degree plus 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in sales focusing in wear materials, fabrication, metal forming, and/or plant maintenance and operations

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for product sales within assigned territory and accounts
• Maximize penetration into all aspects of an assigned territory and accounts thru maintaining, development, and growth in sales thru new business opportunities and customers
• Interfacedirectly with industrial and maintenance plant personnel to identify business opportunities and develop solutions to customer's concerns and problems with existing services and equipment
• Present our wear materials and engineered solutions based on value rather than price
• Assist with onsite field measuring and/or installation of projects

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• Position requires some overnight travel to support sales activity throughout a multi-state region
• Ability to Work long hours and potentially through the night and/or possibly over weekends
• Ability to Work in extreme heat, confined spaces, and in extreme heights
• Ability to Safely maneuver 50 lbs., and able to manually go up and down multiple stories of stairs
