Manufacturing - Fitter

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fitter lays out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms per customer specifications.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assembles according to specifications.
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding of structural forms.
• Tack-welds and/or welds components using welding equipment.
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
• Reviews finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings.
• Adheres to all safety and quality standards.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Blueprint reading
• Shop Math
• Attention to Detail
• Overhead Crane Use
• Hi-Lo License

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Shop Environment
• Dirty/Dusty Environment
• Loud, Frequent Noises
• Ability to lift approximately 50lbs
