Manufacturing - Utility Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Utility Specialist aids in general shop operations. This individual deburrs, sands, grinds, and bevels any in process materials and finished product.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Remove all excess weld spatter and wire stick outs from products
Sand disc rough areas and grind all required weld
Utilizes hand torches, plasma torches, line burners, and hand bevels
Utilizes tack welding to fill the voids in materials
Qualifies their work by using the Quality Assurance Inspection Traveler
Abides by all safety standards
Abides by all company guidelines and policies
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Ability to utilize a tape measure and calipers
Basic math skills
Basic understanding of blueprints
Basic welding understanding and application
Overhead crane use
Hi-Lo license

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Shop Environment
Dirty/Dusty Environment
Loud, Frequent Noises
Ability to lift approximately 50lbs
