Manufacturing - Welder

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reads and interprets blueprints to create quality welds
• Inspects welds for accuracy
• Welds different types of base materials including mild steel, stainless steel, manganese steel, and mild steel with chromium carbide overlay
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases the size of metal parts
• Qualifies their operations by using the Quality Assurance Inspection Traveler for each job
• Adheres to all safety standards
• Adheres to all company guidelines and policies
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to read instruments such as a tape measure and calipers
• Basic shop math
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Overhead crane use
• Hi-Lo license

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Shop Environment
• Dirty/Dusty Environment
• Loud, Frequent Noises
• Ability to lift approximately 50lbs
